Originally from Tunisia, this hot sauce made with vegetables and chiles seasoned with coriander, caraway, and garlic, is now produced in France, to fulfill the demand first a few of the French repatriated from Algeria and later a few of the many immigrants from northern Africa who have settled there. In contrast to other hot sauces, harissa, because of the precise balance of flavors, will have to be mixed with a damp dish, most often couscous, for the entire effect. This harissa is made by the French brand Dea. It’s imported from France. This pack includes two 4.2oz tubes.
