This recipe is the key to the Tastiest Date Milkshake ever, you can adapt it here and there, but you have to try it, even if you don’t like dates, I can assure you, you will love this milkshake. How can I be so sure? Because I didn’t like dates before this either!
Milk is called ‘laban‘ in Arabic – Allah has mentioned milk to us in the Quran, saying:
“Rivers of milk the taste whereof does not change” (Qur’an 47:15).
And again HE SWT said, “Pure milk, easy and agreeable to swallow for those who drink”
(Qur’an 16:66).
The above verses were referring to the milk of jennah but the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is said to have remarked that milk is irreplaceable and that he himself loved milk.
The Prophet (PBUH) said that a house without dates has no food. It is also recommended to eat dates at the time of childbirth. As narrated by Saud; our blessed Prophet (PBUH) said:
“If Somebody takes seven ‘ajwa dates in the morning, neither magic nor poison will hurt him that day.” Sahih Bukhari, Book #71, Hadith #664 (also 663, 672)

The Nutritional Value of the Milkshake Ingredients
The nourishing benefits of the following ingredients create the perfect harmony of flavours in this Date Milkshake, especially during Ramadan. In Ramadan, embracing a wholesome and nourishing diet becomes paramount.
Dates
Dates, a natural sweetener, are a rich source of energy and essential nutrients. Packed with natural sugars, fibre, and an array of vitamins and minerals, dates provide a sustained release of energy, making them an ideal choice for the pre-dawn meal (Suhoor) during Ramadan. Their natural sweetness imparts a delightful flavour to the milkshake without the need for additional sugar.
Milk
Milk, a symbol of nourishment, is a powerhouse of essential nutrients. Rich in calcium, protein, and vitamins, milk supports bone health, muscle development, and overall well-being. Its smooth and creamy texture complements the natural sweetness of dates, creating a luscious base for the milkshake.
The addition of cinnamon to the Date Milkshake introduces not only a warm and comforting flavour but also a range of health benefits. Cinnamon is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, potential blood sugar regulation, and antioxidant-rich profile. It enhances the overall nutritional value of the milkshake while imparting a delightful aroma.

Almonds, with their nutty richness, bring an additional layer of nutrition and flavour to the Date Milkshake. Packed with healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals, almonds contribute to heart health, brain function, and overall vitality.
